MY mother claims that my first word was “snack,” proof that I was born a foodie.

LA Kosher Kitchen is an amateur home cooking blog. I had planned to go to culinary school and almost enrolled on three separate occasions. Twice in N.Y. and once in L.A. but the timing was never right. And although I wish I had had the opportunity to study cooking professionally, I am thankful for being able to prepare delicious meals for family and friends throughout the year and realize now that experience really is the best source of knowledge.  The inspiration for the dishes I create comes from cookbooks, foodie magazines, digital media and friends and family. This blog is a place for me to express my passion for healthy, simple, original food and a way to share it with others.

EVEN if you don’t keep kosher the recipes at L.A Kosher kitchen are chosen based on seasonal ingredients, family friendliness and made in the tradition of home cooking that any foodie can appreciate

THE recipes and their photographs are my own creations, unless otherwise stated. I love reading a recipe and then reinventing it to the tastes and needs of those I am cooking for, primarily my family.  I encourage you to do the same with my recipes and please let me know how they turn out via email or in the comments section of a post.

THANK YOU for taking the time to stop and read this little home grown creation. I hope it inspires you to try something new.
